Private Health Insurance Rebates
At Fitzroy Therapeutics & Botanical Emporium, we recognise the importance of claiming your treatments through Private Health Insurance. For this reason, we have made claiming even easier by using Hicaps, Australia’s leading electronic claiming service.
Hicaps processes most major Health Funds through their electronic claiming facility. Your treatment can be claimed on the day of treatment. It should be noted that some Health Funds do not allow Hicaps transactions and a claim must be made directly through the Fund. Please contact your Health Fund to confirm your ability to claim through Hicaps.
All FTBE practitioners are eligible for Private Health Insurance rebates. We also recommend you contact your Health Fund to ensure your insurance covers your chosen treatment.
Medicare Benefits Schedule – Allied Health Services
Medicare rebates are available for Allied Health Services under an Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) plan. Patients with Chronic Conditions and Complex Care Needs are able to receive a Medicare Rebate for treatments with the following Allied Health Professionals:
- Chiropractor
- Osteopath
- Psychologist
A Medicare rebate is available for a maximum of five (5) services per patient each calendar year.
To be eligible for EPC, the following must apply:
- Patients must have a GP Management Plan and Team Care Arrangements prepared by their GP, or be Commonwealth-funded residents of an aged care facility who are managed under a multidisciplinary care plan.
- GP refers to allied health professional.
- Allied health professionals must report back to the referring GP
